It’s Officially Fall … 2006

November 1st, 2006 by kyokobaby

Hermes

I know that I’m living in a tropical country where it’s (almost) always around 35° and there’s only 2 types of weather, rain or no rain, but I love Fall Fashion. This season is all about the layered look. I’m just worried that people will look at me weird when I go to the mall dressed like this …

(from Hermes Fall 2006 runway)

Black shirt, brown and grey long cardigans, leather trousers and belt, brown driving gloves, burnt orange long scarf …

I can totally rock this outfit in Cilember … Heh heh heh …

Stellamccartney The oversized trend is also one of my favorite … Here’s an example …

Oversized dark navy V-neck jumper and grey pleated-front wide-leg trousers with big blue patent-leather handbag …

This is from the Stella McCartney Fall 2006 runway.

Will try this look for the weekend, I think Jeff has a dark sweater he never uses.

*Pleads to Jeffery … "Can we please go somewhere winter-y this coming holiday season??" … heh heh … *

Karaoke & Movie Day

October 24th, 2006 by kyokobaby

ARGH MY POST JUST GOT LOST!!! T_T

Anyway … here’s the gist of what I was writing ….

The "Fun with Jade" category is in danger of getting changed to "BAD DAYS with Jade" ……

Last Sunday (22nd) we went to karaoke and movies (to watch The Departed).

She can’t behave … While I’m trying to have fun and sing my song, she jumps on/to people, on the couch, bugs me all the time, climbs up the couch & wall … And she just won’t stop …

And then the movies … ARGH where do I start??? She constantly bugs me, constantly walks around, from her seat to mine (we sat on different rows, Jade sat with Jeff and I sat with Febry), sings silly songs, asks very unimportant questions, etc …

Well that was ultimately her FATHER’s fault!!!  I told him to leave her behind, largely because this movie is VERY inapropriate for children!!! I already knew that there will be lots of killings, rough violence, excessive use of "FUCK"s, some sex scenes, too much spewing of blood, etc. But nooo, he insisted on taking his daughter, cause he feels sorry if she’s left behind at home. And then I pointed out to him that she will be bothering us, because she wouldn’t be able to sit quietly in her seat. But did he listen to me? Again, it’s a big N-O. The father is ALMOST as infuriating as his daughter!!! The result? NONE OF US enjoyed the movie entirely in PEACE!

Tell me, why did we waste $10 each to go to see a movie where none of us really watched in peace? What’s the point??? For $1 we can get a bootleg DVD and watch it at home and still be bothered by Jade, isn’t it the same??? With $40 I can get a ZARA black V-neck jumper that I’ve been wanting to buy!!!!!

I swear, if one more person asks me why I didn’t have more kids, I will FORCE him/her to take Jade to the movies.

And THAT, my friends, is a very effective way to scare teenagers (maybe even adults) out of having (unprotected) SEX.

None Of Your Business …

October 17th, 2006 by kyokobaby

Lately people (my mom, my aunts & uncles, my mom’s friends, my aunts’ friends, my dad’s friends, my cousins, my friends, my friends’ friend, etc …) has only ONE thing they ask me when they see my face …

"When are you going to f**k and produce more babies?" ….

Well … ^_^; ok, not exactly those words … and maybe not exactly that direct … Some of the paraphrases I’ve heard were "When’s Jade gonna have a baby brother/sister?" … "Oh your kid’s so cute! You should have another one!" … "Jade deserves to have a brother/sister to play with" and so on, and so forth …

Gosh darn it … it’s MY uterus … it’s not their business if I want anything in it ever again or not … I am NOT a baby factory!!!

Yeah my kid’s cute, but you were not around when she’s having a bad day or a stubborn day or a very demanding day or sick days … You don’t have to feed her, bathe her, change her poopy diapers, etc … Jade’s a big girl now, she can change her clothes, eat by herself …  And you want me to go through all the feeding, bathing and poopy diapers again???

Have you seen my room? It’s full of Jade’s stuff … The other day I found a picture of our room on the day we got married and I almost cried. It’s so different! It was lovely, pretty, VERY NEAT, it has nothing … Only a bed, 2 night tables, dresser & TV stand … now … You’d faint if you see it, and I’m afraid you really will … so I refuse to describe or post a picture of it. Bottomline is, unless I have new space for Jade’s shizz, I don’t have any space for another baby.

Even when we just got back from our honeymoon … EVVERRYYbody asks "Are you guys pregnant yet?" … huh? We’ve just been married for less than a month … People don’t reproduce instantly "poof" like magic … just mix in a little water and stir … Are you kidding me?? At that time, I naively thought I can put this "getting knocked-up business" aside for like a year. However, everybody started getting their heads all up in my uterus, I just had to give in and procreate … just to shut everybody the hell up ….

That’s why I hesitate to ask a barren married couple the "Are you pregnant?" question … Not that I don’t care about you … I care so much about you that I don’t want to hurt your feelings by asking a stupid question. I’m sure when you’re ready, you’ll let me know that you’re expecting a little bundle of joy and I’ll be happy for you then. What if I’m really reproductively challenged? Then what? Am I broken now? Can I be changed with a newer model? I’m not a fem-bot baby producing machine …

And now it starts again …. *sigh* …. T_T whatever am I going to dooo???? People!!!! I just bought a pair of fabulous black skinny jeans!!! I seriously CANNOT get pregnant now!!! (Is that an apropriate answer? I really wanted to say those words out loud a few days ago) … ^_^;;

This is a crisis!!!

Disney Lantern Fun-Tasy (02-09-06)

September 2nd, 2006 by kyokobaby

Hello y’all!

Today Jade, Jeff & I went to the Disney Lantern Fun-Tasy @ Senayan. It was quite fun, took a few pictures (posted on my profile photo, check it out!), watched Melissa (my niece) perform @ the castle/stage, ate some burgers (there was a Hot Shot joint in the bazaar area, quite yummy!), etc.

We got there at before 6pm and got our free tickets from the XL booth, btw, if you’re an XpLor user, simply show your billing statement and payment receipt to the XL ticket counter, and you will receive 4 free tickets.

Cimg0076copyThe darkness kicks in quite fast, I was bummed about it, was hoping to take pics before dark. Nonetheless, I’m quite pleased that a few of the photos turn up quite decent (with a little help from photoshop, of course). Check out the photos on my main page! Will move them to the photo album section when I have more time.

Didn’t have time to check out the bazaar/food court area. Was watching kiddies perform (I regret that, oy my ears are still ringing x_x), singing, acting, modeling, etc. A lot of them are quite horrible! Especially the singing, ay yi yi! Unfortch, we didn’t get to see all of Melisa’s group’s whole (operet) performance, was feeling mighty hungry after enduring some bad howling/growling beforehands. So we left to get some Hot Shot burgers. They’re really good! We got the caramelized onion (tastes very sweet) and the ultimate cheeseburger (double the meat patty and double the cheese … mmm mmm MMMM). I’m so glad that we have Hot Shot @ PIM2. ^_^ Yay!

I would love to go again next week, maybe on a workday. I’d love to take more pictures and play some games.

Jade had fun, me and Jeff have sore arms and shoulders from carrying Jade. She demands to sit on Jeff’s shoulders all the time so she can see what’s going on. Poor kid, she’s prolly sick of looking at legs all the time. It was really crowded at around 9pm, I don’t blame her, I wanted to be carried back to the car too, heh heh heh. It really started to give me a headache, so we hurried home (although I reeeally wanted a cotton candy). ^_^;

Well, I’m off to bed now. -_-

Jade’s School Journal 1

August 22nd, 2006 by kyokobaby

I received a little "scrapbook" journal from Jade’s school, it contains snippets of conversations in class, things she did in school, little drawings, etc. I thought it was cute, so I’m gonna regularly post some of the the kiddies’ conversation on this blog. ^_^

Here’s a sample from this week’s journal …

Snack Time 31/7/06

Fede: Aku mau ke Australia    Jade: Aku mau ke Hongkong     Christo: Aku mau ke Singapore     Christie: Aku mau ke Hongkong. Aku juga sama, Jade!

Jade: Fede, besok mau ke mana?     Fede: Mau ke Australia     Jade: Aku mau ke Hongkong     Fede: Aku mau ke Australia

Jade: Aku suka apel     Fede: Saya juga     Jade: Saya juga. Aku suka warna merah, kamu hijau, ya?

Christo: Kemarin aku sakit     Jade: Aku kemarin batuk, aku batuk keluar reak     Fede: Aku keluar ingus     Jade: Keluar reak!     Fede: Keluar ingus!     Sany (the teacher): Iya, kalo batuk keluar reak, kalo pilek keluar ingus, ya?

Fede: Aku mau ke Hongkong     Jade: Aku kemarin ke Bali     Christo: Aku kemarin ngga ke Bali

…. End …

Isn’t that the cutest? HAHAHAHAHA LOL

Anyway, I thought the conversation between the kiddies is interesting! But, you probably have to know the kids to appreciate the funnies, heh heh … or not? I don’t know. ^_^;

Ponder …

August 14th, 2006 by kyokobaby

"When you have children, a day feels like a year and a year feels like a second."

That’s true! Constantly chasing Jade around the house, always telling her to finish her lunch, tidy up, etc … I feel like the day never ends. And yet, when I try to remember what Jade’s like when she was a tiny little baby … or what was she like at 2 y.o, I can’t recall!!! Seems like it happened soooo long ago!

Or … do you also feel that way, kid or no kid??
